Baby Blue IT Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a leading Managed Services Provider (MSP) that is growing its cyber security capabilities. We are seeking a passionate and technically skilled Cyber Security Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to support the development and delivery of innovative managed security services. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with customers on critical projects, influence service direction, and play a key role in shaping the future of cyber security solutions.

Role Summary

In this role, you will lead technical customer engagements, provide strategic input into the development of cyber security services, and deliver consultative support throughout the pre-sales process. You'll act as the bridge between technical capabilities and customer needs, ensuring that solutions are aligned with security requirements and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and solution demonstrations with prospective and existing clients
  • Design and communicate effective cyber security solutions tailored to customer challenges
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of managed security service offerings
  • Deliver high-impact presentations and articulate value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support the creation of proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and technical documentation
  • Provide consultative advice on security strategy, architecture, and implementation planning
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical delivery teams to ensure solution alignment and success
  • Stay informed of emerging threats, tools, and industry best practices to support customer recommendations

Required Skills & Experience

  • Operational background and prior experience working in or with a Security Operations Centre (SOC) is highly beneficial
  • Previous experience within a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) or MSP environment
  • Strong technical understanding of cyber security technologies, including:
  • SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability and exposure management, threat intelligence, and data security tools
  • Proven experience in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical advisory role in the cyber security space
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences
  • Strategic and consultative mindset with a customer-first approach
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or vendor-specific qualifications are advantageous
