About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK-based IBM infrastructure services provider, seeking an experienced IBMi Power Consultant to join their expert technical team.
This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work with advanced IBM Power Systems technologies, including IBM i (iSeries / AS/400) and IBM Power Virtual Server (Power VS). You’ll play a vital role in delivering complex solutions across cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, implementing, and supporting IBM Power Systems solutions with a strong focus on IBMi platforms
- Assisting in the deployment and configuration of Power Cloud and IBM Power Virtual Server (Power VS) environments
- Collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to develop and deliver tailored infrastructure strategies
- Providing expert troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimisation
- Leading or supporting migrations, upgrades, disaster recovery (DR) and high-availability (HA) projects
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Power Systems (IBMi / iSeries / AS/400) and related enterprise storage
- Practical knowledge of Power Cloud and IBM Power Virtual Server (Power VS)
- Experience working in a consultancy or managed services environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A self-starter mindset, with the ability to work independently in a fully remote setting
